Congrats to John Connolly and Hilary Robinson who both set new course records in winning their respective races. John had come 3rd last year and bested his time by almost 40s, and beat Steven Prentice by just 4s in an epic battle, with Mark Ryan taking a well deserved spot on the podium with a great run. Hilary held off the challenge of 2015 champion Lorna MacMillan and her daughter Eilidh who took the final podium place.
In the V50 category, Linda Lucey took the spoils in the ladies race and Alex Chisholm for the men.
